Under Police Protection, Gay Pride Parade Proceeds in Kiev Without Major Incident; At Least 50 Arrests Made

Under heavy police presence, the gay parade today in Kiev proceeded without major incident, although some 50 arrests were made of some unruly counter-demonstrators.

Translation: The “March of Equality” in Kiev proceeded without significant incidents.
Translation: About 50 people detained at the March for Equality.
Translation: The gay parade in Kiev fit into half an hour and finished without incidents.
While Ukrainian and Russian press reports indicated “several dozen” or “50” arrests made of those trying to disrupt the parade, there was also a report of significantly more detentions.
