2 Ukrainian Soldiers Wounded; Russia-Backed Forces Attack 28 Times

Oleksandr Motuzyanik, spokesman for the Ukrainian Defense Ministry on ATO [Anti-Terrorist Operation] issues, said in his briefing today April 8 that 4 Ukrainian soldiers were wounded in battle today, April 8, Ukrainska Pravda reported.

The Mariupol line was most under attack and the Lugansk line was the quietest, Ukrainska Pravda reported. There were two incidents of shelling in Popasnyaya and Stanitsa Luganskaya but not with heavy weapons.

On the Donetsk line, there were 26 attacks, 4 of which were with heavy weapons on the and 31 attacks on the Mariupol line, 6 with heavy weapons  

In its evening dispatch, the AT0 reported 18 attacks during the day.

On the Mariupol line, Russia-backed militans fired 120-mm mortar-launchers and grenade-launchers on Novotroitskoye and used grenade-launchers and heavy machine guns on Vodyanoye. Small arms were fired on Shirokino. Gnutovo and Talakovka; a BMP fired on positions near Novogrigoryevka

On the Donetsk line, militants fired grenade-launchers and heavy machine guns on Ukrainian positions in Avdeyevka; they used grenade-launchers to fire on defenders of Luganskoye and Zaytsevo.

On the Lugansk Line, militants fired on Ukrainian positions near Novotoshkivka and from grenade-launchers on defenders of Krymskoye.

Ukrainian forces did not return fire.
