Two Ukrainian soldiers were killed by shelling from Russia-backed forces at the Svetlodarsk Bulge and Mayorsk, Liga.net reported, citing Col. Oleksandr Motuzyanik, spokesman for the Defense Ministry on ATO [Anti-Terrorist Operation] issues at a briefing today. Three other soldiers were wounded.

On the Lugansk line, there were attacks with grenade-launchers at Stanitsa Luganskaya, Schastye, Novotoshkovskaya on the Bakhmutka Highway and Popasnaya.
On the Donetsk line, snipers were active at the Svetlodarsk Bulge and militants also used grenade-launchers on Avdeyevka and Luganskoye.
On the Mariupol line, 122-mm mortars were used on Vodyanoye as well as Grad missiles on Vodyanoye; Shirokino was also attacked.
Iryna Gerashchenko first vice speaker of the Ukrainian parliament and representative for humanitarian affairs in the Trilateral Group said the Russia-backed militants will not allow the International Committee of the Red Cross to visit Ukrainian prisoners in the Makeyevka Colony, although they were permitted to give packages to the wardens for the prisoners. The ICRC has only been allowed to give packges to the POWs twice before since the start of the war in 2014, she said.
A separatist fighter who blew up a bridge across the Seversky Donets river between Lisichansk and Severeodonetsk was sentenced to 10 years in prison, Liga.net reported, citing the prosecutor’s web site. His name was not provided.
