Russia-backed militants fired 7 times on Ukrainian positions using 82-mm and 120-mm mortar launchers, an armed BMP, grenade-launchers, an anti-aircraft system, heavy machine guns and small arms, Liga.net reported.

One Ukrainian soldier was killed and four were wounded.
A civilian man injured his leg when he went into the woods and stepped on a tripwire mine near the Beryozovoye-2 checkpoint.
In a statement on Twitter, US special representative on Ukraine Kurt Volker said Russia-backed militants were deployed 500 meters from the Donetsk Filtration Station.
